Our journey began long before we launched our brand in 2021. It actually began in northwestern Madagascar, where for generations, our families have grown vanilla. In that region, vanilla is just not an ingredient; it forms a way of life. It is the rhythm of seasons, the crafts passed on from parent to child, and the pride of a community that has mastered one of the world's most meticulous agricultural traditions.
We moved to Canada in 2017 with dreams of building a new future for our family. But we carried with us our heritage: the knowledge of vanilla, the memories of our parents and relatives tending to their crops, and a deep understanding of how exceptional, ethically produced vanilla should truly taste. MB Vanilla Beans was born from that heritage-a desire to honor where we come from while embracing where we are now.

Middlemen, exporters, and large corporations had shaped the industry, while the farmers-those who are truly the custodians of this craftsmanship-remained in the background.
We created MB Vanilla Beans to change that narrative.
By working directly with farmers in our home region, many of whom are our own extended family, we ensure each purchase genuinely uplifts the people who nurture the vanilla from flower to finished bean. This direct-trade relationship allows us to maintain uncompromising quality while providing fair compensation and long-term community impact.
